The Cleveland African-American Heritage Umoja Parade took place on June 8, 2013. Umoja is the Swahili word for Unity. The parade went down Superior to East Ninth and then down the hill to the Festival in Voinovich Park.

One of the highlights of the Festival was the Shaw High School Marching Band.

The Shaw High School Marching Band from East Cleveland Ohio marched in the Cleveland African-American Heritage Umoja Parade. In this video, the band marches down East Ninth into Voinovich Park. Cleveland Mayoral candidate Ken Lanci marched and danced with the band.
