Asian Pacific Heritage Day Celebration Cleveland City Hall Rotunda May 30, 2018
Asian Pacific Heritage was celebrated in the Rotunda of Cleveland City Hall with speeches, performances and food. Chia-Min Chen, Asian Liaison for the City of Cleveland was the MC for the evening.

The Rotunda was filled with friends and members of the Asian community of Cleveland.

Gia Hoa Ryan, Community Relations Board Member and leader of the Vietnamese community, gave some opening remarks.

Chia-Min Chen, Asian Liaison for the City introduced the keynote speaker, Peter Paik, Teacher & Debate Team Coach of University School. Peter Paik said it is truly a wonderful thing to be a teacher. What makes it wonderful is the bond you make with students and the bond is there even when you don't know it is.

Amit Ghose, a Cleveland Metropolitan School District teacher from Joseph M. Gallagher School, spoke about the culture and history of Nepal and Bhutan. He introduced a few of his students who performed Nepalese cultural dances.
