Organization of Chinese Americans is a national organization whose stated mission is to advance the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) in the United States. In 2013, OCA's National Board of Directors passed a resolution to change its name to OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates to reflect a more expansive mission to represent the pan-ethnic interests of the community.
The 2014 Inauguration of the new officers of the Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) Cleveland Chapter was held in the offices of Margaret W. Wong. Wayne Wong served as MC for the event.

Wayne introduced immigration attorney and author Margaret W. Wong who gave some background history of Chinese culture groups in Cleveland and spoke of the recent passing of her beloved husband Kam Chan.

Next, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson thanked the Chinese community and presented a proclamation to the new OCA president Lisa Wong.

Organization of Chinese Americans National President Sharon Wong came from Washington DC to speak at the 2014 Inauguration Reception of the Organization of Chinese Americans Cleveland Chapter. She spoke about the OCA and said that Asians are the largest percentage (36%) of new immigrants. Hispanics are 31%.

Ms Wong also spoke about hate crimes, hazing, bullying and lack of cultural awareness about the Asian community including the Jimmy Kimmel live bit about 'Killing everyone in China.'
