Chinese community at Cleveland Museum of Art International Cleveland Community Day October 7, 2018
International Cleveland Community Day at the Cleveland Museum of Art is a celebration of the rich diversity of our region’s multiethnic communities, featuring traditional music and dance performances, cultural displays, and ingallery experiences. During this vibrant afternoon, visitors enjoyed presentations from more than 50 community groups expressing the continued vitality of the global cultures and arts that enliven our city.
The Chinese community was well represented with the performances and the Confucius Institute at CSU display table.

In this video, Deidre McPherson from the Cleveland Museum of Art welcomed the crowd and introduced the first performance which was by students of the Great Wall Enrichment Center, the only Chinese School which opens every day in the Greater Cleveland Area. Great Wall Enrichment Center is sponsored by the Chinese Professional & Entrepreneur Association (CPEA).

This next performance was a dance by 3 very young girls who are students of the Great Wall Enrichment Center.
The last performance was a Chinese Martial Arts demo.

There were also performances by students of the Cleveland Contemporary Chinese Culture Association, a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization established to promote a better understanding of eastern and western cultures through language and cultural exchange programs. This performance featured 5 young girls.
This performance was a young girl performing a solo fan dance.
This last performance was 3 young girls doing an acrobatic Chinese dance.
