Croatian Heritage Museum and Library
The medieval city of Samobor to the west of Zagreb in Croatia is known for its crystal making.
The Croatian Heritage Museum and Library just opened its newest exhibit titled Samobor Crystal and other Treasures from Old Samobor. The crystal displayed is from various collectors loaned to the museum for this exhibit.
The exhibit will run from March 24th to October 31, 2013. The hours of operation are Wednesdays from 6-9PM and Fridays from 2-6PM. The museum is located in the American Croatian Lodge Complex, 34900 Lakeshore Blvd, Eastlake , Ohio.

Branka Malinar and Neda Rosandic Saric
Former Croatian Ambassador to Argentina Neda Rosandic Saric showed a few special pieces from her collection of Samobor Crystal. The crystal vase was given to her by Franjo Tudman, the first president of Croatia.
The Battle of Samobor took place on March 1, 1441 and was fought between the forces of Ulrich II of Celje and Stjepan Banic around Samobor, Croatia.

Branka Malinar and Sue Jerin continued their preview of the Croatian Heritage Museum and Library exhibit of Samobor Crystal and other Treasures from Old Samobor with some photos of a reenactment of the Battle for Samobor.
On Tepec hill, only 10 minutes walk from the city centre, there are still-visible remains of the Samobor Castle fortress built in 13th century.
