Liszt Concert in the Hungarian Cultural Garden July 14, 2012
The beautiful Hungarian Cultural Garden was the stage for the annual Liszt Concert in the Garden.
A large tent was set up (not as easy as it sounds!) but the weather cooperated that afternoon.

The Aurora School of Music donated a 9 foot Yamaha grand piano for the concert

Carolyn Balogh welcomed the crowd and the program began with the US National Anthem and the Magyar Himnusz sung by Theodore Horvath and accompanied by Vera Holczer on piano.

Greg Polyak introduced the performers
Greg Polyak introduced the concert. The performers were under the direction of Vera Holczer, founder and director of the Aurora School of Music. Vera was born in Budapest and began her piano studies at age 9. Her advanced studies are from the Cleveland Institute of Music and she regularly performs on WCLV 104.9 FM.

The first performance was by Pianist Weiwen Ma from Shanghai China and now of the Aurora School of Music. She performed Liszt's Polonaise.

Bartok's Rhapsody No. 1 for violin and piano was performed by Swiss native Chiara Fasani on violin and Vera Holczer on piano.

Anjin Srewart-Funaa sang a A French song by Debussy accompanied by Vera Holczer.

Julie Beistline on violin and pianist Vera Holczer of the Aurora School of Music performed a Czardas Hungarian folk song.

At the end of the concert, the performers received a rousing ovation from the crowd.
