Jim Peppard, Co-Chair with Rich Reagan of the Irish American Club East Side float committee for the St Patrick's Day Parade told about the 2015 float. The 2015 theme was Irish contributions in the Civil War so the float has a general with saber drawn riding on a horse with moving legs, 3 soldiers and a cannon that fires smoke. The float also has the flags of the Richmond County Georgia 5th Regiment "Irish Volunteers", the flag of the US at the time and the Union Army 69th Regiment Irish Brigade. This float won first prize in the Parade.
