The United Irish Societies of Greater Cleveland is a non-profit organization consisting of representatives from 27 Irish Organizations whose primary purpose is to organize the Cleveland's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Cleveland's Parade is Ohio's oldest and finest comprising approximately 10,000 participants in 125 units.
The theme of the 2018 Parade (the 176th anniversary of the Parade in Cleveland) was Prominent Irish Pioneers of the 20th Century.
The 2018 Parade Honorees were:
Grand Marshal Sheila Murphy Crawford
Irish Mother of the Year Joan (Hartnett) Reali
Inside Co-Chair Noreen Halley and Outside Co-Chair Linda Burke
Hibernian of the Year Jim Kilbane
The 2018 St Patrick's Day Parade in Cleveland began on the steps of the Cosgrove Center on Superior as honorees and dignitaries gathered.
Parade Executive Director Shannon Corcoran introduced dignitaries on hand.

Dignitaries included Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, Bishop Nelson Perez, Justice Peter Charleton and his wife Fiona from Ireland and the parade honorees Grand Marshall Sheila Murphy Crawford, Irish Mother of the Year - Joan (Hartnett) Reali, Inside Co-Chair Noreen Halley, Outside Co-Chair Linda Burke and 2018 Hibernian of the Year Jim Kilbane.

Bishop Perez then gave a brief invocation.

Then Katie Cooper led the singing of the Irish and US national anthems.
