This was the 2nd time that a Latvian president visited Cleveland. The first was in 1994 after Latvia gained freedom.
President Valdis Zatlers met with President George W. Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney on Thursday and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice on Friday before coming to Cleveland.
