Cleveland American Middle East Organization
45th Anniversary May 2,2015
Cleveland American Middle East Organization (CAMEO) is a Bi-partisan Political Action Organization that was established in 1970. It is designed to articulate the political interest of more than 100,000 Northeastern Ohio residents of Middle Eastern heritage, Arab Americans.
The 45th anniversary of the group was celebrated at a dinner event at St. Elias Cultural Center on May 2, 2015.

Abdullah (Abby) Mina, former president of the Cleveland American Middle East Organization, CAMEO, spoke about the evening's special honoree Edward (Eddie) Khouri.

Khouri was a pioneer who opened his Middle East restaurant in Cleveland in 1962 when nobody knew what hummus was. Current CAMEO president Pierre Bejjani spoke of the tributes and proclamations for Eddie Khouri.

Yehia Shousher from Toledo was named the first ever Honorary Member of the Cleveland American Middle East Organization, CAMEO, as CAMEO celebrated its 45th anniversary at St Elias Cultural Center in Cleveland.
