95th Lithuanian Independence Day Page 2 - Keynote and Entertainment Cleveland Ohio 2012 February 16, 2013
The Cleveland Lithuanian community gathered to celebrate the 95th anniversary of February 16, 1918 and the declaration of Lithuania's independence.
The program continued with a keynote address by Darius Sabaliunas.
Darius Sabaliunas
Darius was born and raised in Klaipeda, Lithuania. He earned a Biology degree from the University of Vilnius and received a Master in 1993 from Cambridge University in England and a PhD from Lund University in Sweden.
Since 1999 he has been employed at Proctor and Gamble with assignments in Sweden, Lithuania, Poland, England and currently Cincinnati. Since 2004, he has been the president of the Cincinnati chapter of the Lithuanian-American community. He is a member of the Lithuanian Foundation Scholarship Committee.

The next part of the program was led by Gytis Burakovas.

The first performance was by children from the Lithuanian Saturday School in Cleveland. They recited the the poem 'Vakaras su Lietumi.'
