Slovenian Statehood Day 2012 Cleveland City Hall June 22, 2012
On June 25, 1991 Slovenia declared independence from Yugoslavia. To celebrate the 21 years of Slovenian Statehood, a special event was held in the Rotunda of Cleveland City Hall with dignitaries, music and food. Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Jure Žmauc and Mrs. Janja Žmauc hosted the event.

Then Slovenian Composer Professor Oto Vrhovnik played the Slovenian National Anthem on the saxophone.

Michael Patterson from Congressman Kucinich's office presented a proclamation to the Consul General.

After the formal ceremony, Slovenian composer and saxophonist Oto Vrhovnik entertained the crowd.

The gathering then enjoyed Slovenian food and wine as Mr Vrhovnik mingled in the crowd playing his saxophone.
