Kurentovanje Parade in Cleveland 6417 St Clair Ave. February 22, 2020
The 8th annual Cleveland version of the most popular carnival in Slovenia - Kurentovanje - was a week long event featuring dinners, a dance party, fun run and more. But the highlight was the annual Kurentovanje parade followed by the festival celebration in the Slovenian National Home. Just before the Parade, people played music, loaded the floats and got ready to step off. Watch a short video from before the Parade.
The units gathered before the parade at the St. Martin de Porres High School gym. Watch the St Martin de Porres High School drummers and dancers warm up before the annual Kurentovanje Parade.
The units then gathered on Lausche Ave and stepped off. The Parade ended at the Slovenian National Home on St. Clair. Then everyone moved inside for music, food, shopping and fun.
