Margaret W. Wong Scholarship Cuyahoga Community Colege April 7, 2011
Margaret W. Wong knows first hand how important a scholarship can be to an immigrant (or child of immigrant) student. She was in that position herself when she came to the United States. Margaret used scholarships to complete her education which led to the establishment of her world-renown Margaret W. Wong & Associates law firm.

The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation announced the Margaret W. Wong Scholarship Fund at a special reception at Ms Wong's building in March. "The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Margaret W. Wong Scholarship Fund for support of immigrant students and their children. This scholarship will provide access to education for both immigrant students and students who are children of immigrants who may not be able to begin or continue their educations without additional financial assistance."

Margaret W. Wong has served the Tri-C Foundation for nearly 20 years. "I have had the opportunity to work with many students throughout my years in practice and am happy to establish this scholarship to assist future immigrant students and the children of immigrants, in attending Cuyahoga Community College, the place where futures begin for so many students," Wong said.

The Tri-C Foundation provides funding for scholarships that help many outstanding students who, without financial assistance, cannot access or continue their education. Many are working one or two jobs to support themselves and their families while attending classes. Scholarships assist with tuition and related educational expenses

Tri-C Foundation scholarships are made possible by members of our generous community who understand that helping Tri-C helps our whole community, as over 85% of Tri-C students remain in northeast Ohio and pursue careers here.
