Global Cleveland 2022 Annual Meeting and Awards Parma-Snow branch of Cuyahoga County Library December 8, 2022
Global Cleveland is a non-profit organization that attracts, welcomes and connects international newcomers to economic, social and educational opportunities in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. Their 2022 annual meeting was held at the County Library in Parma on December 8, 2022.
Global Cleveland President Joe Cimperman welcomed the crowd.

Joe then introduced board member and Medical Mutual VP Norm Steiner. Mr. Steiner introduced videos from Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish, US Senator Sherrod Brown and Global Cleveland founder Albert Ratner. Outgoing Global Cleveland board chair David Fleshler was recognized and gave his remarks.

He was followed by incoming board chair Joe Marinucci.

Then Joe Cimperman gave special recognition to board member and early Global Cleveland leader Oren Baratz of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

Then the annual awards began. Eric S. Gordon, CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, was presented with the Global Community Builder Award at the 2022 Global Cleveland Annual Meeting on December 8, 2022. He was introduced by Shari Obrenski the president of the Cleveland Teachers Union.
Larisse Jem H. Mondok, annual fund communications coordinator for the Cuyahoga County Public Library, was presented with the Youth Leader Award at the 2022 Global Cleveland Annual Meeting on December 8, 2022. She was introduced by South Euclid Mayor Georgine Welo.

Lilli Hooke, CPA, senior property accountant at Brookfield Properties, was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award at the 2022 Global Cleveland Annual Meeting on December 8, 2022. She was introduced by Parma Mayor Timothy J. DeGeeter.

Dan Hanson, founder of ClevelandPeople.com and co-founder of the Cleveland International Hall of Fame, was presented with the Media Partner Award at the 2022 Global Cleveland Annual Meeting on December 8, 2022. He was introduced by Dr. Wael Khoury, president of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation.
