French Cultural Garden Ribbon Cutting April 7, 2024
The French American Chamber of Commerce - Ohio Chapter is one of the multiple Chapters of the French American Chamber of Commerce founded in May 1993. The FACC network was created in 1896, making it the oldest bilateral chamber of commerce in the USA. The FACC is also the driving force behind the French Cultural Garden, one of almost 40 ethnic heritage gardens in Cleveland Ohio.
FACC president Larry Miller
FACC president Larry Miller said, "We are putting the finishing touches on the first phase of the garden, including a terrace that is in the shape of France, a flagpole, and a sign." Friends and supporters gathered at the Cleveland Museum of Art for a special presentation in conjunction with the opening of a new exhibit, "Monet in Focus" which includes five Monet paintings. The presentation was given by Heather Lemonedes Brown, CMA curator of modern European art. See more from the Monet in Focus exhibit and presentation.
Then the group gathered for updates on the Garden's progress. Watch the video of the presentations.
