Cleveland City Hall Rotunda September 15, 2023
The City of Cleveland kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month 2023 with an event in the Rotunda of City Hall on September 15, 2023.
The theme was "Be proud of your past. Embrace your future."
City of Cleveland Hispanic Liaison Christopher Martinez introduced Jose Gonzalez who served as MV for the evening.

The Cleveland Police Color Guard presented the Colors and Officer Peter Williams led the singing of the National Anthem.

Next, Eunice Cabrera gave the invocation.

Jose Gonzalez gave some background and thanked sponsors in his remarks and then Angela Shute-Woodson, Director of Community relations, gave a welcome.

Then Jose Gonzalez introduced keynote speaker Victor Ruiz from Esperanza.

As dinner was being served a Peruvian dance group performed. It's not the best video or sound but seeing it live was very impressive.

2023 Cleveland Hispanic Social Club Award - Club Alma Yaucana
2023 Outstanding Community Leadership Award to Luis Mayan, Dulce Sanchez, Wally Espada and Waleska Gachuk (Ward 14)
2023 Cleveland Hispanic Business Award - Quisqueya La Bella and 787 Market & Cafe
The evening rounded out with a performance by Dulce Swing band.
