After the HOLA Hispanic community center ribbon cutting, the festivities continued with delicious food and performances.

Los Jilgueros de Altamira celebrates the enduring folk music of the Mexican Huasteca region identified by its indigenous inhabitants, the Husatecs. The quartet specializes in the Huapango, a type of Mexican folk dance that combines Spanish and indigenous cultures. The members are: Cecilia Boeta, lead singer/jarana huasteca, Arturo Boeta Chavez, guitarra quinta, Roberto Conde, upright bass and Miguel Garcia Boeta, violin.
