Day of the Dead Parade 2024 Skulls & Skeletons Procession Starting at 6205 Detroit Ave. November 2, 2024
The annual Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos) celebration was put on by Cleveland Public Theatre and Día de Muertos Ohio Artistic Director: Héctor Castellanos Lara.
The Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos or Día de los Muertos) is a holiday largely developed in Mexico, where it is mostly observed, but also in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. It normally takes place on All Saints Day and All Souls Day (November 1 and 2).
One of the highlights of the day is the colorful Skull and Bones Parade. Even people watching the Parade get dressed up.
The Skulls & Skeletons procession stepped off from Cleveland Public Theatre at 6205 Detroit Ave. and traveled west on Detroit. It made a stop at an altar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and then another at Craciun-Berry Funeral Home. Then it turned around and went back to the Theatre. Here is a video of highlights of the 2024 Day of the Dead Parade in Cleveland.
