C.A.M.E.O. has one central purpose, to appraise candidates running for Public Office, that will offer political support to those who are best prepared to respond to our concerns. C.A.M.E.O. accepts the diversity of religious and political philosophies and beliefs of its membership. C.A.M.E.O. membership means a commitment to local political action that will enhance the voting strength and amplify the profile of the Arab American community in Northeastern Ohio.
CAMEO celebrated their 55th anniversary as well as Arab American Heritage Month at a gala event.
After a cocktail and social hour the audience was welcomed by Sue Durichko, Parma Hts. Councilwoman and CAMEO Ambassador, who served as Mistress of Ceremonies. The event began with the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance.

After her welcoming remarks and then introduced Father Patrick Kassab, Pastor of St. Maron Catholic Church, and Imam Ramez Islambouli, Professor of Islamic Studies at Case Western Reserve University, for the invocations.

Next was a delicious Middle Eastern dinner prepared by Eastern Gate Catering
After dinner, Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Christopher Woodworth swore in the new CAMEO board members.

Then a group of men performed a traditional Dabke Dance and then the audience joined in and the dance floor was full.
