Pakistan Cultural Garden Flag Raising Cleveland Cultural Gardens

At the 77th annual One World Day in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens the Pakistani community celebrated the 76th anniversary of Pakistan Independence (August 14, 1047) from Great Britain. The ceremony took place in the Pakistani Cultural Garden, one of 35 or so heritage gardens in Cleveland Ohio.
It began with a welcome introduction by the MC.
Then was the ceremonial raising of the flag of Pakistan in the garden for the first time by the Hon. Tariq Karim, Consul General of Pakistan from Chicago and Malka Khan, President of the Pakistani Cultural Garden.

Rayyah, daughter of Raheil and Sobia Rashid, played the anthem on the flute while the flag was being raised.
Next, a young boy recited a prayer and then the anthems of the United States and Pakistan were sung.
Then speakers including Kahkshan Saleem, Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Dr. Wael Khoury and others spoke about the important day and thanked Qaisra Haidar and the other board members.
