Rev. Fr. Eric Orzech , Pastor of St Stan's, said, "Our annual Polish festival holds a special place in our hearts and offers us the opportunity to embrace and share our Polish heritage, culture and traditions while bringing all of us together strengthening our bonds of community, creating an atmosphere of unity and providing an opportunity for making memories that last a lifetime."
This year the Festival coincides with the 150th anniversary of the Parish.
As always, the Festival was full of music, food, camaraderie, history and culture. One highlight was a performance by Pan Franek Zosia and the Polkatowners. "Pan" Franek the leader & father of the band began the Polkatowners in the year 1974. Since then he and his beautiful wife Zosia have had five musically talented children, and now grandchildren who are passionate about spreading the Polish culture and that good sounding Polish polka music. Watch this short video clip of "It's a small world after all" featuring very young performers - grandchildren.
