PIAST Polish Artistic Song and Dance Ensemble World on Stage 2024 Pan-American Masters Games Centennial Peace Plaza Cleveland Cultural Gardens July 20, 2024
Cleveland was the proud host of the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games from July 12-21, 2024. There were a variety of Special Events for the athletes and other visitors including the World on Stage international concert hosted by the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. In conjunction with the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games, the July 20 celebration featured performances by the Kwan Family Lion Dance Team, PIAST Polish Folk Ensemble and Djapo Cultural Arts Institute dancers.
The first performance was a song by 3 young ladies (Amelia, Angelina, Nicole) from the PIAST Polish Artistic Song and Dance Ensemble called Hej na Krakowskim Rynku.

Nicole Nawojowski from the PIAST Polish Artistic Song and Dance Ensemble performed the famous Hejnal Mariacki on the trumpet. Dan Hanson then explained how the song ends abruptly because the trumpeter was shot in the neck with an arrow.
Next, the PIAST dancers performed this dance called Krakowiak.
Agnieska Kotlarsic is leader of the PIAST Polish Artistic Song and Dance Ensemble. While the dancers changed clothes she brought out a spinning wheel and told how they used to make clothes with it. She invited two boys from the audience up to try the spinning wheel.
Next, Nicole Nawojowski performed this song called To i Hola.
The grand finale from the PIAST Polish Artistic Song and Dance Ensemble were these Old Warsaw Polkas.
