On March 2, 2025 the Cleveland Russian Cultural Garden continued their tradition and hosted a Maslenitsa celebration for hundreds of people. Maslenitsa has its origins in both pagan and Christian traditions. In Slavic mythology, Maslenitsa is a celebration of the imminent end of the winter. It has been compared to Mardi Gras or Carnival.

One of the performance groups at the event was the Paprika Dance Ensemble. This is a dance from the ladies of the PAPRIKA Dance Ensemble led by Alena Reshetnikova.
