2014 Cleveland International Hall of Fame Cleveland Marriott Hotel Ballroom May 12, 2014
The 2014 Cleveland International Hall of Fame Class was inducted on the evening of May 12, 2014. A sold out crowd of 520 (with a waiting list) attended the induction ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott at Key Center.
Almost 140 worthy candidates were nominated for the 2014 Class of the Cleveland International Hall of Fame. The selection committee was advised by previously inducted members of the Cleveland International Hall of Fame.

After a networking/cocktail hour, Pipe Major Bruce Grieg of the Irish American Club East Side Pipe Band, helped lead the crowd of 520 into the Grand Ballroom.

Grieg played the classic Scotland the Brave as the crowd moved into the ballroom.
He then played God Bless America to begin the program.

Cleveland State University President Ronald Berkman spoke at the induction of the 2014 class of the Cleveland International Hall of Fame. He told of the multicultural students and programs at CSU and how they contribute to the multicultural diverse tapestry that is our city and region.

This was the 5th year anniversary of the Cleveland International Hall of Fame so past inductees in attendance were called up to receive their Hall of Fame pin.
Besides the awards, the inductees were presented with proclamations or certificates from Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, the Ohio State Senate - Senator Tom Patton, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald, Cleveland City Council, Ohio Governor John Kasich, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and US Senator Rob Portman.

After the inductions, Master of Ceremonies Dan Hanson told how Sto Lat (100 years) may not be enough for a toast anymore. He then invited the attendees to raise a glass and toast the newly inducted class of the Cleveland International Hall of Fame: Ernie Mihaly, Tom Scanlon, Jim Foster, Gene Bak, Margaret Callander, Monte Ahuja, Donna Hom and Joe Meissner.
